Critical Minerals Cooperation — Indonesia's Nickel Reserves and India's Supply-Chain Diversification
Indonesia holds the world's largest nickel reserves (around 55 million metric tonnes) and has emerged as the dominant global supplier of processed nickel — inputs essential for electric-vehicle batteries, stainless steel, and, alongside rare-earth elements, permanent magnets used in EV motors, wind turbines, and defence electronics.
