Navy to commission Mahendragiri at Visakhapatnam on July 11
INS Mahendragiri (F38), the sixth of seven Project 17A indigenous stealth frigates, is scheduled for commissioning at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam on July 11, 2026.
The vessel was designed in-house by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau (WDB) and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai.

Project 17A (Nilgiri-class) — The Frigate Programme
