- Signed December 18, 2025 in Muscat in the presence of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Indian Prime Minister; ratified by Oman via Royal Decree No. 30/2026 (February 15, 2026); entered into force June 1, 2026
- Uses a three-category tariff-elimination structure: Category A (immediate duty exemption), Category B (phased reduction over 5 years, zero by June 1, 2030), and Category C (phased reduction over 10 years, zero by June 1, 2035)
- Covers non-tariff barriers through simplified customs procedures, streamlined rules of origin, and certificate-of-origin requirements (valid 12 months)
- Supports Oman's own diversification strategy, "Oman Vision 2040," which seeks to reduce dependence on oil revenues by expanding non-oil trade and investment ties
